Every winter, Luxotica drives guests from Geneva Airport to the ski resorts of the French Alps: about 1 h 10 to Megève, 1 h 15 to Chamonix, 2 h to Méribel, 2 h 15 to Courchevel and 3 h to Val d’Isère on a clear day.
Your chauffeur meets you inside the airport, on the Swiss side or in the French sector, and drives you door to door to your chalet or hotel in a Mercedes, with winter tyres and a price fixed and agreed in advance. In winter, our Alpine base is in Passy, at the foot of Mont Blanc.
A border, mountain roads, winter rules and ski bags turn the last leg of your trip into a project. These are the things that make it simple.
Your chauffeur tracks your flight and waits in the arrivals hall with a name board, so you can be in the Alps the same day, whatever time you land.
From 1 November to 31 March, mountain roads in Savoie and Haute-Savoie come under the Loi Montagne winter-equipment rules. Our cars run on winter tyres, and the weather and the parking are our concern.
The Mercedes V-Class seats up to 7 passengers. Tell us how many pairs of skis or snowboards you are bringing and we confirm the right set-up before you travel.
Typical distances and drive times from Geneva Airport on a clear day. On winter Saturdays and at the start of the school holidays, allow more time.

About 200 km, around 3 h. Val d'Isère, La Daille, Le Fornet and Tignes.
About 70 km, around 1 h 10. The village, Mont d'Arbois and Rochebrune.

The Portes du Soleil and Grand Massif resorts, closer to Geneva.
Landing in Zurich or Basel? We drive you across the border to any French Alps resort.
Geneva is the closest international airport to most of the big French ski resorts. Megève (about 70 km) and Chamonix (about 90 km) are the quickest to reach, along the A40 motorway. The Tarentaise resorts take longer: Méribel and Courchevel are 2 h to 2 h 30 away via Albertville and Moûtiers, and Val d’Isère about 3 h via Bourg-Saint-Maurice.
These are typical times on a clear day. On winter Saturdays, when most chalets change over, the roads to the Tarentaise can add an hour or more.
Our advice: if you can, travel on a Friday or Sunday, and give us your flight number so we can follow your arrival.
For the return, we suggest a pickup time based on your flight and the road conditions, so you reach Geneva with time to spare.
Here is how the main ways to get from Geneva Airport to the ski resorts compare.
