Private Transfers from Geneva Airport to the French Alps

Geneva – French Alps

From the arrivals hall straight to your chalet

Every winter, Luxotica drives guests from Geneva Airport to the ski resorts of the French Alps: about 1 h 10 to Megève, 1 h 15 to Chamonix, 2 h to Méribel, 2 h 15 to Courchevel and 3 h to Val d’Isère on a clear day.

Your chauffeur meets you inside the airport, on the Swiss side or in the French sector, and drives you door to door to your chalet or hotel in a Mercedes, with winter tyres and a price fixed and agreed in advance. In winter, our Alpine base is in Passy, at the foot of Mont Blanc.

Why a private transfer

What makes the trip from Geneva to the Alps easier

A border, mountain roads, winter rules and ski bags turn the last leg of your trip into a project. These are the things that make it simple.

Straight from Your Flight

Your chauffeur tracks your flight and waits in the arrivals hall with a name board, so you can be in the Alps the same day, whatever time you land.

Winter Roads Are Our Job

From 1 November to 31 March, mountain roads in Savoie and Haute-Savoie come under the Loi Montagne winter-equipment rules. Our cars run on winter tyres, and the weather and the parking are our concern.

Room for the Whole Group

The Mercedes V-Class seats up to 7 passengers. Tell us how many pairs of skis or snowboards you are bringing and we confirm the right set-up before you travel.

Getting to the slopes

How long does it take from Geneva Airport to the ski resorts?

Geneva is the closest international airport to most of the big French ski resorts. Megève (about 70 km) and Chamonix (about 90 km) are the quickest to reach, along the A40 motorway. The Tarentaise resorts take longer: Méribel and Courchevel are 2 h to 2 h 30 away via Albertville and Moûtiers, and Val d’Isère about 3 h via Bourg-Saint-Maurice.

These are typical times on a clear day. On winter Saturdays, when most chalets change over, the roads to the Tarentaise can add an hour or more.

Our advice: if you can, travel on a Friday or Sunday, and give us your flight number so we can follow your arrival.

Step by step

How your transfer to the French Alps works

  1. Send your details. Flight number and arrival time at Geneva, number of passengers, bags and pairs of skis or snowboards, and the address of your chalet or hotel in your resort.
  2. Receive a fixed price. We reply with a fixed price. Once you accept, your booking is confirmed and we share your chauffeur’s details.
  3. Meet your chauffeur. Your chauffeur tracks your flight and waits in the arrivals hall with your name, on the Swiss side or in the French sector of the airport.
  4. Arrive at your chalet. We drive you to the door of your chalet or hotel and help unload your luggage and equipment.

For the return, we suggest a pickup time based on your flight and the road conditions, so you reach Geneva with time to spare.
